Learning Patterns

Learning Patterns was the title of an exhibition featuring original artworks inspired by furniture diagrams from the office of I.M. Pei. Originally used to study furniture organization for the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library, drawings of tables, chairs, and book stacks were translated into infinitely repeating patterns. One pattern was implemented as a public mural on the back of the 411 Art Gallery in downtown Columbus, Indiana. Photos by Hadley Fruits and Warrie Dennis.
